The peacock is a symbol of happiness in the Cambodian province of Pailin. 

This dance is thought to bring prosperity to villagers and it is performed during the Cambodian new year and other festivals. As the dance opens, villagers are out for their afternoon stroll with umbrellas. When they stop to examine a ruby found on the ground, two courting peacocks come along and perform a lively dance.
